When he does find Bolin, he hangs out by the doorway for a moment before clearing his throat ]

The party will be held at the house Ruby lives in over in the Gaze district. [ There's an address included, or just general directions, along with the time the party starts. ] Feel free to dress up or not - you know Ruby won't mind either way. You're also free to bring a present if you want to. If you want to bring one, but you're having trouble thinking of what to get her, you can ask me, I guess.

[ What does one get for one's boyfriend's brother who decided to live in a hole he bent in the ground after leaving your loft to "give you two lovebirds some space"? There's no standard housewarming gift for that situation, nor for a literal hole in the ground. Wu isn't really sure if he should be doing this, because he doesn't want to encourage Bolin living here? But he couldn't get Ryan our of his terrible apartment, either. Maybe his friends just like living in squalor.

So, that's how he ends up with a neatly wrapped gift in his hands, coming down the stairs that Bolin bent in the earth under the Raccoon Room. He raps his knuckles on the "door" nervously ]

At least this time, it is a house that has like doors and floors and ventilation and things like that. It's rude not to bring a gift, so here he is with another gift, this time food because Lysithea started making mochi and Wu had to get some, anyway.

He presses the nicely packaged box into Bolin's hands when he sees him. ]
