But he listens when Wu speaks and when he takes the gift the fight drops from his sails a little bit, carefully unwrapping the gift and spreading the blanket out in his arms before wrapping it around him. [Straight up? The hole isn't his dream home. But it isn't that bad and people have been so mean to him lately that he's pretty happy to be left alone. Before that everyone was ignoring him and before that he'd spent a whole month hiding in the club's curtains feeling homesick, in the way, and sorry for himself.
So.. yeah, the hole is lonely and dark and kind of scary but in a lot of ways it's comforting. If only because it is the one thing he appears able to control.
